Job Title: Vice President of Hardware Development

Location: Van Nuys, CA (Hybrid/Remote Flexible)

Role Summary: As VP of Hardware Development, you will lead all aspects of hardware strategy, design, development, validation, manufacturing, and commercialization of EosDx’s diagnostic platform. You will partner closely with software/firmware, algorithm, clinical, and manufacturing teams to deliver best-in-class hardware systems that advance EosDx’s mission and business goals. You will be a key member of the executive team, helping scale the company from prototype through commercialization.

EosDx is pioneering a new modality in early cancer detection using compact bio-crystallography hardware and AI-enabled diagnostics. We are developing a non-invasive, fast, accurate, and pain-free breast exam — with the ultimate goal of becoming the global leader in non-invasive cancer detection and monitoring.

  • Define and drive the hardware roadmap in alignment with EosDx’s strategic vision of non-invasive cancer detection.
  • Lead the full lifecycle of hardware development: concept, design, prototyping, verification/validation, regulatory compliance, manufacturing, and post-launch support.
  • Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing hardware engineering team (mechanical, electrical, optics, systems integration, test & validation).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with software, AI, clinical operations, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless system integration and readiness for regulatory submission.
  • Partner with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and strategic partners to enable cost-effective, scalable production.
  • Ensure design for manufacturability (DFM), design for test (DFT), reliability, and compliance with medical device standards.
  • Drive hardware performance, reliability, and quality metrics while managing risk and fostering continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to intellectual property strategy and protect innovations.
  • Participate in executive leadership discussions on business strategy, investment decisions, and commercialization planning.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field (MBA or advanced degree a plus).
  • 10–15+ years of hardware development experience, ideally in medical devices, diagnostics, or related instrumentation.
  • Proven track record of leading hardware teams from concept to commercialization.
  • Strong technical expertise across mechanical, electrical, and optical systems.
  • Experience with regulated products (FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 60601, CE).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on problem-solving ability and comfort in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Passionate about innovation in healthcare and improving patient outcomes.
  • Experience in diagnostics, imaging systems, or bio-instrumentation hardware.
  • Familiarity with X-ray or crystallography-based instrumentation.
  • Experience scaling hardware from prototype to volume manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated success building teams, processes, and company culture in a startup environment.

Salary will be determined based on experience and qualifications.

Job Title: Clinical Research Assistant

Location: Van Nuys, CA (In-Person)

Role Summary: EosDx is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant (CRA) to support ongoing and upcoming clinical studies evaluating our diagnostic technology. The CRA will assist with study coordination, data collection, regulatory documentation, and participant management. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute directly to research that has the potential to transform how cancer is detected and managed.

EosDx is revolutionizing early cancer detection through compact bio-crystallography hardware and AI-enabled diagnostics. Our mission is to make cancer detection painless, accurate, and accessible — starting with a non-invasive breast exam designed to save lives, reduce healthcare costs, and eliminate unnecessary anxiety.
  • Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of clinical research studies in accordance with study protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with participant recruitment, screening, scheduling, and obtaining informed consent.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and organized study records, logs, and case report forms (CRFs).
  • Collect and manage clinical and technical data from study participants and sites.
  • Coordinate with clinical sites, investigators, and cross-functional EosDx teams to ensure smooth study operations.
  • Assist in preparing study materials including protocols, informed consent forms, and regulatory submissions.
  • Support Institutional Review Board (IRB) communications, submissions, and amendments.
  • Monitor data quality, resolve discrepancies, and support preparation of reports and summaries.
  • Maintain compliance with all ethical, legal, and company standards in clinical research activities.
  • Interact professionally with study participants to ensure comfort, safety, and confidentiality throughout the study process.
  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, biomedical engineering, public health, or a related field.
  • 0–3 years of experience in a clinical research, laboratory, or healthcare environment (internship or academic research experience acceptable).
  • Familiarity with clinical research regulations (GCP, FDA, IRB processes) preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and data management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  • Passion for advancing healthcare innovation and improving patient outcomes.
  • Experience working in medical device, diagnostics, or imaging research.
  • Prior experience supporting IRB submissions, study documentation, or data management.
  • Proficiency with clinical data management systems or EDC platforms.
  • Interest in women’s health and early cancer detection.

Job Title: Data Scientist

Location: Remote

Role Summary: EosDx is seeking a Data Scientist to support the development and optimization of machine learning models that power our diagnostic platform. You will analyze and interpret complex biomedical and imaging data, develop robust algorithms, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data insights into improved diagnostic performance. This role is ideal for someone passionate about applying data science to real-world healthcare challenges with meaningful human impact.

  • Develop, train, and validate machine learning and statistical models for bio-crystallography and diagnostic imaging data.
  • Work closely with hardware, software, and clinical teams to preprocess, label, and interpret experimental datasets.
  • Design and implement data pipelines to handle diverse and high-volume biomedical data sources.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and feature engineering to identify key predictive patterns.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to deploy algorithms into production environments.
  • Analyze model performance, identify bias or variance issues, and optimize algorithms for accuracy, interpretability, and robustness.
  • Support research publications, regulatory submissions, and internal documentation of model development.

  • 3–5+ years of professional experience in data science, preferably in medical devices, diagnostics, imaging, or life sciences.
  • Proficiency in Python and common data science libraries (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch).
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, model validation, and performance evaluation.
  • Experience with imaging data (e.g., radiology, microscopy, spectroscopy, or diffraction) highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of data preprocessing, signal processing, or feature extraction techniques.
  • Solid grounding in statistics, experimental design, and scientific computing.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present technical findings clearly to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and excited to work in a collaborative, mission-driven startup environment.
  • Experience working with biomedical or biophysical datasets (e.g., X-ray, Raman, or crystallographic data).
  • Familiarity with FDA-regulated software development or SaMD (Software as a Medical Device).
